Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of genericcontacts.com (the "Site") and any purchases you make from Generic Contacts ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site or place an order.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or place an order. By using our Site, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years old, or are the parent or legal guardian of the minor for whom you are ordering
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
• You will only purchase contact lenses for yourself or a person for whom you have legal authority to act
• All information you provide to us is accurate and complete

Prescription Requirement

By placing an order for contact lenses, you represent and warrant that:

• You have a valid, unexpired contact lens prescription from a licensed eye care provider
• The prescription you provide is accurate and was issued specifically for contact lenses (not just eyeglasses)
• You authorize us to contact your prescriber to verify the prescription if needed
• You will not attempt to use an expired, altered, or fraudulent prescription

We reserve the right to cancel any order for which we cannot verify a valid prescription. Providing a false or fraudulent prescription is a violation of federal law and these Terms, and may result in account termination and referral to appropriate authorities.

Prescription Verification Process

Upon receiving your order, we will verify your prescription using one or more of the following methods:

• Comparing your order to the prescription information you provided
• Contacting your prescriber by phone, fax, or electronic means
• Reviewing uploaded prescription documents

Orders are placed on hold pending prescription verification. We aim to verify prescriptions within 1 business day. You will be notified by email once your prescription is verified and your order begins processing.

Orders & Payment

Order Acceptance

Placing an order on our Site constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order for any reason, including but not limited to product unavailability, pricing errors, inability to verify your prescription, or suspected fraud. Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email.

Pricing

All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. We make every effort to ensure prices are accurate, but in the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund or offer the item at the correct price.

Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. Payment is processed securely by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. By submitting an order, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the total amount of your order including applicable taxes and shipping.

Sales Tax

Sales tax is collected where required by applicable state and local laws. The applicable tax will be displayed at checkout.

Promotional Codes

Promotional codes are subject to the terms stated at the time of issuance. Codes cannot be combined unless explicitly stated, have no cash value, and may be revoked if misused.

Shipping & Delivery

We ship to addresses within the United States. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed. Delivery times begin after prescription verification is complete, not from the time of order placement.

• Standard shipping: 3–7 business days after verification
• Expedited shipping: 1–3 business days after verification
• We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, or events beyond our control
• Risk of loss and title to products passes to you upon delivery to the carrier

Returns & Refunds

Eligibility for Return

Unopened, unexpired contact lenses in their original, sealed manufacturer's packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, subject to the following conditions:

• The item must be in its original, sealed manufacturer packaging
• The return must be initiated within 30 days of the delivery date
• The prescription parameters on the returned item must match those on your order

How to Return

To initiate a return, contact us at returns@genericcontacts.com with your order number and the reason for return. We will provide a return authorization and instructions. Items returned without authorization may not be processed.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of receiving the returned item. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive a defective or incorrect item, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a return or replacement at no cost to you.

User Accounts

You may create an account to save prescriptions, view order history, and checkout faster. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account password
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access at support@genericcontacts.com

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse our systems.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, product images, and software, is the property of Generic Contacts or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Site content without our express written permission.

Product brand names and trademarks (Acuvue, Dailies, Biofinity, etc.) are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for product identification purposes.

Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Generic Contacts and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or purchase of products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of our Site or products shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim in the 90 days preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Generic Contacts and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your provision of false or fraudulent prescription information; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Generic Contacts is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to first contact us at legal@genericcontacts.com to attempt informal resolution. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue the claim in accordance with applicable law.

Any legal action arising from these Terms must be filed within one year of the event giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and post the revised Terms on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
